Je foto’s, gemaakt met de ambrotype-techniek, hebben iets diks en olieverfachtigs. Er zitten ook allerlei mistige, vlekkerige en vage stukken in. Dat is wellicht technisch van a tot z verklaarbaar, maar schept toch een toverachtige atmosfeer. Is dat wat je in de ambrotype-techniek aantrekt, die bijzondere atmosfeer en de vertekeningen die de illusie scheppen dat je anders en daardoor misschien wel intenser naar de wereld kijkt?
